Congratulations to our West Nova Fuels 3 Stars of the Month for November!
1. D Logan Trewin (HFX)
2. F Max Brien (DSS)
3. F Chandler Bell (HFX)
Veteran D-man and co-captain of the Halifax Macs, Logan Trewin had a huge month of November - logging a total of 2 goals and 14 assists in just 7 regular season games. The Macs have been on quite the tear this season, putting up a record of 19-0-0 as of December 5th. Logan has also played a huge defensive role, as the team has only allowed 30 goals through 19 games. They're also coming off a huge win at the Monctonian AAA Challenge in Moncton, NB where they had a perfect 6-0 record, and shutout 3 teams enroute to victory. The 2024 4th round selection concluded the month with a QMJHL call-up to the Mooseheads on their trip to Newfoundland.
Steele Subaru LW Max Brien had an extraordinary month, as the highly-touted 2026 QMJHL draft prospect recorded 3 goals and 14 assists through 8 games. With the perfect mix of hockey IQ and physical strength, Brien makes a great power forward and has been an invaluable asset to the Steele Subaru this season. Brien's play is only picking up momentum, as he accelerated into the Monctonian by following up a 5pt performance on Nov 8th against the Sydney Rush, with a 6-pt performance in the opening game of the Monctonian just a few days later, vs. Graal. The 6'2", Fall River native is currently ranked 5th amongst QMJHL draft prospects by eliteprospects.com in a year where his hometown Halifax Mooseheads are hosting the 2026 QMJHL draft in June.
Backstopping the 19-0 Halifax Macs, Chandler Bell had a standout month of November, making an appearance in 4 regular season games this month, getting all 4 wins and posting 1 shutout, with a solid 1.00 GAA and 0.954 SV%. The month was highlighted by a huge 3-2 win vs. 2nd place Weeks Majors, where he made 21 saves in the 1-goal affair. The netminder, from Stillwater Lake, NS also got called up to the Amherst Ramblers Jr. A squad at the beginning of the month alongside teammate Ian Lovett while they took on the Summerside Western Capitals.
